Dying could cost you more money
...This has followed an exchange that started with the high cost of cremating or burying someone who was extra heavy (over 300 lbs.). The Glendale Nature Preserve charges $1,800 for opening and closing for regular sized person, $2,800 for a heavy person because there is more digging and heavier lifting. They take the dirt out in layers and put them back in the same fashion, hand dug.
Yet another Prenead Funeral Home scam.
Listed in this article are all the funeral homes involved in this lastest preneed scam.
If anyone knows someone who has arranged a preneed funeral, or is thinking about doing so, I thoroughly recommend you read this article first. Preneed is just a waste of your money. You are lending it to funeral homes, and this story explains what happens when you inadvertently select a rogue one. Put the money you think you will need in a savings account of some sort and collect interest on it.

The New York Times ran a green burial story on its Green Blog last Wednesday including this story which was posted by my friend Mark Harris, author of Grave Matters.
This is another outrageous story regarding bacteria embedded in our freebie reuseable plastic shopping bags. It was posted on the Green America list serve which, when someone has the time and energy to dig deeper, will find out that it was authored by the plastic industry.
